Welcome in the blog world, Trades!
It's always busy at Trades of the East quarters! The phone is constantly ringing as the gentle Lesly answers and helps customers with a kind attitude and a lot of patience. There is an orderly caos everywhere, Haim, the owner, is one of the most organized people I have known. Everything has its place, new jewelry, old jewelry, tools, boxes, trunks, everything is neatly displayed around the warehouse, but then....there is the daily work that brings about enough color and cheerfulness to lift up any old soul. Boxes, filled with orders for expectant customers, are scattered on a large table waiting for Omar, the UPS delivery gentleman, for shipping. On a long working table, Kathy and Michelle place an attentive eye on each piece of jewelry for a last quality control, before they fill the clear plastic bags with the little treasures. Exotic tea cups waft the aroma of Olong and Jasmine tea around the room, keeping everybody alert and warm. The music is always on and often you can see a tapping foot or hear someone to strike up a tune, bringing a smile on everybody's lips. And as the day goes by and a pile of orders has been cleared, emails have been answered and tools are put away for the next day, the entire crew start to relax, and often Haim, joins in with his interesting stories from around the world. Oh! And let's not forget Austin, the puppy dog, whose size is actually closer to the one of a pony rather than a dog. In the last few months he has been chewing up on everything left unattended, including a bunch of old earrings stashed in a box on a lower shelf, but in the meantime he has managed to charm everybody's heart with his gentleness and his funny mischief!
